Here is a post about a wonderful week we had with a sneak peek at Caleb’s birthday. Two great things all wrapped up in one blog post!
It’s taken me a couple of weeks to write this post just to keep the tears at a minimal. I feel like in life we can be extremely blessed if we find a person that we click with so easily. Someone who you don’t need to have on the calendar for a week in advance to get together, but someone you can call up and meet right than or have over in that instant. You might not have showered your house may look like a bomb went off in it, but all that is ok. You might not have seen this person for days, weeks, or even months and nothing has changed the minute you are together again. It’s like time and life did not pass. You are comfortable, real, genuine, honest, and have a blast. I think that’s what you might call a best friend.
I am blessed to have a few of these in my life. One of which is my sister, Olivia. She lives in Arkansas, if you did not know. I always tear up greeting her…and might shed some tears when she leaves as well. She came in town for a full week a couple of weeks ago and brought her sweet little girl with her! I had a goal to see them everyday they were here, and I met that goal easily! We had a blast!! Here is just a FEW of the things we did while they were here…
- thrift store shopped
- chick-fil-a girls date
- a practice 5k run around Roswell Park
- backyard swimming
- celebrated Caleb’s 5th birthday
- went to the zoo
- ran a 5k race
- took turns babysitting each other’s kid(s) so the other could go see our brother, Tony, in his acting debut
- sewed and crafted together
- played with our kids on the floor while talking
- went to Trader Joes and Hobby Lobby without kids!
- and took a run from my house down mimosa and canton street in Roswell for a leisurely afternoon:)
I’m sure I am missing some things we did, but you get the point. We had fun!! Even now I get choked up writing this blog. I wish we lived closer!! Someday! 🙂 I miss you sweet Charleigh girl!! And you to OJ! 🙂 I love you guys!!!
p.s. Cody, come with them next time!!!
