This past Monday, we went to the Hawks game.  It was a complete blast!!  It was Jeremiah’s second game (before two months old), but it was Caleb’s first game!  He LOVED it!!  I think he was a little overwhelmed at first.  He didn’t know where to look…the people, lights, game, etc.  I think he settled on pointing out every hawk around the building!  Mike hooked us up with the tickets…and Caleb with a basketball.  Caleb is still proudly showing us the hawk on his new ball.  We ran into my sister, Annie, at the game who hooked Caleb up with some cotton candy.  What a loved little guy!!  We are so blessed to have such great boys and family that love to pour into them like we do!

Edited Jan 24, 2009: P.S. One more thing, the SWEET Joe Johnson jersey was a Christmas gift to Caleb from his Uncle Nick. Thank Nick, he loves it!

We had an awesome Christmas!  It was so fun hanging out with family and friends!!  Caleb is at such a fun stage, and he was a complete blast this holiday season!  Anytime we drove by Christmas lights there was a chorus of oooo’s and aaaww’s from the backseat.  It was such a reminder to appreciate the simple, little things in life.  We painted ornaments and made dough ornaments…which Caleb tried to eat!  🙂  We gave Caleb a red wagon for Christmas-and I think he would have sat in it all day!  He definitely opened the rest of his presents and his stocking in it!  Of course Jeremiah didn’t know what was going on…but it was a really unique, special gift to have such a brand new baby right out of the womb.  In a nonsacrilegious way, I couldn’t help but think how Mary must have felt holding a precious baby that she just birthed…that belonged to God.  What a blessing and awesome Christmas gift to have a healthy Jeremiah with us!  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Enjoy the pictures!

One night last week I got the bright idea of trying to make sushi.  My friend, Esther, makes it, so I wanted to give it a try.  Matt and I put the boys to bed and then we had a date at home!  For those of you with kids…that’s the way to have a date without worrying about a baby-sitter!  🙂  Just put the kids to bed.  The rice took about two hours…and I was STARVING by the time it was done, but we had the best time making our rolls and eating them!  P.s. Matt’s might have looked better (his rice wasn’t falling off), but mine sure were good too!
