I feel so lucky to be on this tour with Matt and our whole family…and such an awesome team!!  God literally brought us all together for this moment in time-and it’s been such an awesome ride! 

Maddie is making this trip enjoyable!!  With all the loading/unloading, trekking across campus…keeping smiles on the boys faces…it is a lot…and I dont think Em and I could do it without her!!  If we did try…we would already be burned out for sure!!  Also, I love that I am able to go be apart of something so awesome as these events and know my boys are being loved on while away from Matt and I.  

My heart swells with pride for my husband and joy as I watch him do something he loves and has been created for.  Here is a snippet of his talk….

We are on the road, and we are loving it!!  Spirits are really high and its been so so fun so far!!  The things we are realizing about life on the road…

1.  There are NO to do lists (for em and I), dishes to put away, meals to cook, cleaning to be done….its just intentional time with our kids in between events!  Its been so fun finding playgrounds and swimming in the hotel pool and we are only on day two of the 8 week tour!! 

2.  Our kids are amazing!!  (not that we didnt already think so…they have just been adjusting so so well!!!) We have walked all over Mississippi College’s campus, which is beautiful, and its amazing how the kids start so many conversations or make people smile.  I guess it’s not a usual siting to see two toddlers chasing eachother…and two adorable babies being carried…its been so cool to see how much our kids are encouraging others!

3.  I have already forgotten several things!  J’s medicine to mix in his formula for his skin, my computer cord so I can upload pictures for you :), and J’s musical sheep and bear that have been in the bed with him since he started sleeping in his crib!  Thank God I have such awesome in-laws that will ship these items to me!!

4.  I miss my dogs!!!!  Who would have thought-with how much they annoy me at times!?

We are doing really good.  The hotel and food (school cafeteria) has been provided by Mississippi College for the first four days-which is a huge expense being lifted…so we are seeing God move and make this possible!  So awesome!  I have driven my mom’s van…which I grew up taking trips in…and now I am taking it on a trip with MY own family and driving it-SO CRAZY!!

Update on Jeremiah:  J has taken right to sleeping in the pack and play.  He is usually such a light sleeper but has been able to  fall asleep while we are still moving around in the room.  He LOVES grapes!!  The last two days I have gotten him to eat grapes and some pineapple…which both aren’t on his allergy list.  He opens his mouth for them!!  Its so so wierd but AMAZING to see him open up and eat something! 

Update on Caleb:  He is still LOVING his ‘big trip’.  We have swam in the pool twice-he loves it!  He is doing great on his spider man bed…he took over a two hour nap on it yesterday!  He has been pointing out all the ‘triangles’ he sees…there are especially a lot around the elevators.

I can not believe we are leaving in two days!!  We are so excited!  There has been a range of emotions preparing to be gone for so long…excitement…stress…anxiety…peace…calm…joy…SO SO many!  I can honestly say sitting here this morning I feel complete peace and am not worried about packing or my to do list-and I know that is only because of God’s grace and his use of YOU praying for us!!  Thank you!  WE could not do this with out each of you!!
