When you think of yarn and felt, do you think of their use more for in the fall and winter?
Although I think they are perfect for the winter months, I would also argue they are great for spring and summer as well. Maybe this makes me a rule breaker. Will you break the rules with me too?
As I was crafting this week, I realized my two new projects both used what most may consider “winter” craft supplies.
If you use some bright, spring and summery colors, I think amazing crafts can use felt and yarn year round. Let me prove my case to you with some pictures.
I took this stick from my backyard and spray-painted it a light pink. I then simply sanded it a little and wrapped some yarn around it to add another punch of color and texture. How cute can this idea be paired with some other spring decor?

I never get sick of seeing yarn pom poms. There are some awesome tutorials on pinterest, if you have been wanting to make a few. I simply spruced up the bouquet from my winter mantel with a few spring color pom poms.
If you need some cheap wall decor, you can make a simple DIY Pennant Flag or a fun character with yarn hair like our Fluttershy My Little Pony.
Babies are being born year round, right!? Baby gifts can get expensive. I love to add a personal touch to my gifts. You can make this DIY Burp Cloth or Felt Hair Bow as fun simple additions to your gifts.
