Disclosure: I received this product for free to review, but all opinions and comments are my own!I just celebrated my 31st birthday.
Whew.
For some reason being “in my thirties” doesn’t sound as good as being “thirty”. In-spite of getting older, I had the perfect day. Matt took the kids and I on a picnic and hike (which is one of my favorite things to do). It happened to be a chilly November day and was the perfect time to break out my new Duluth Trading Company Flannel.
I don’t know about you, but most of the flannels I wear come from a thrift store. They are usually stretched and worn looking. I was giddy putting on my new Flapjack Shirt Jac. I couldn’t stop gushing how much I love it. I still can’t.
The standard Free Swingin’ Flannel looks pretty amazing, but I got the extra heavy warm version. It has soft cotton on the outside with lofty nylon taffeta on the inside (with an inside pocket). There are princess seams and side snaps to nip the flannel to your form. It was made just for me (and maybe for you too ;))!
My kids constantly want to be playing outside, which I love. This flannel has become my go to grab when we are headed outside or to run errands on cold days. It’s warm and cozy, yet still cute and durable.
My birthday hike was a bit further than we had expected and straight up to the top of a mountain. We ended up carrying our kids for part of it. It was a fun, memorable work out for sure. As it turns out big heavy boots were a terrible choice… on the flipside, I was so impressed with how much I could move around in my flannel jacket as I carried kids on my back up the mountain. It was super comfortable!
I know I will use this flannel a ton this winter in our garage and unfinished basement as I work on projects.
If you have a flannel lover to shop for this Christmas, check out Duluth Trading Co. You can visit them online or stay connected by following them on facebook and twitter. If you want a quick laugh their YouTube ads are pretty funny too!
