I love to paint! My sewing machine was broken this week, so I got my paint back out. I love switching up craft projects! It keeps things new and exciting, so it was a really good breath of fresh air to paint.
I especially love this craft because I painted it while hanging out with someone who I adore! Miss Joni DeVictor=one amazing girl! Joni came over Friday afternoon. We sat, talked, and painted during nap time! It was so fun!
Birds are really “in” and the trendy thing, so it’s hard not to notice them. I got this idea while cruising around online one day, and I couldn’t wait to do it! I used a piece of scrap wood that we had out in the garage. I painted the board green and then added the birds. After it was dry, I sandpapered the whole thing. That is the most nerve-racking step! I am always afraid I will ruin it, instead of giving it the rustic charm look I desire! I really like how this one turned out!! The knobs were from an old dresser that I had switched out. I merely spray painted them and then sandpapered them aswell! What I love is…this craft didn’t cost me anything!!! (Ha ha I know my time, paint, and spray paint…but I already had those things, so they don’t count :))
Thinking of my sale in the fall, I keep trying to think of things to make that don’t cost me anything or very little, so my profit will be that much more!!! Oh the little entrepreneur I am becoming!!!
