I love being the mom of boys!  I love the outdoors and the adventure of getting dirty and experiencing life with your hands and exercise!

All those things are my boys…and they are a complete blast!!  One of the most amazing moments for me as a mom is watching my kids discover.  I love watching my boys climb trees because it is just that…they are discovering life.  I feel like it shows them height, dimension and it’s like a puzzle for them as their cute faces focus and concentrate on where to step next.  It’s like a life-size puzzle and perfect for boys cause they can use their muscles and get dirty!

Amazing job Andrew Morgan!!!

J is a complete blast!  There are so many moments that Matt and I look at each other and say we just want to “freeze” him right now, so that he would stay this age/way forever.  He, of course, has his almost three-year old moments, but he is so sweet and gotten so funny too.  Watching him have joy brings me so much joy.  He has come so far with all his allergies and set backs, and I could not be prouder of who he is!

Today, I got the bright idea that I should clean this place up.  As I pulled out the Clorox wipes and started dusting, J jumped right in claiming he wanted to clean too.  I did not protest!  Somewhere along the way he found what I think is a drafting table brush for cleaning off pencil shavings.  It was his “duster”.  He really went to town using that thing all over.  We found a dead bug and that might have been one of his highlights inspecting it all over.  He also got way into “sucking” up leaves with the vacuum.  There was a sheer squeal of delight after each “suction”.

Of course we got distracted along the way with this cute girl.  Who couldn’t stop  cleaning to take her shopping!?  p.s. Will someone please tell her she is advancing too quick and that she can not go up that step yet!?!

The Lord knew I needed his boost of encouragement to make a cleaning task fun today.  I am blessed!!

…and I’m not referring to the old TV show.  Even if my husband and I are finally watching this show and catching up on the episodes via Netflix:).  We had a backyard family date on Friday night with a fire.  It was a complete blast.  We decided it was the best way to have the camping experience with little kids…build a fire and cook dinner on it without ever having to load or unload a thing in the car!

We went and got hot dogs and marshmallows and came home and started all the campfire prep.  J and Matt were on the fire pit duty while Caleb and I gathered sticks.  This might or might not be the only time we pick up sticks in our yard:)

J might take after his mama and be a fire pyro.  He would squeal throwing a stick into the fire and watching it spurt out little flares every single time.  Caleb is more the cautious one and using a stick to pushing another stick into the fire.  Reagan bailed on our date before too long, and can I tell you how convenient it was to just tuck her nicely into her sweet crib?!  I would still LOVE to go camping sometime this fall with the boys, but for now, this worked very nicely for a fun night full of memories!

I think the highlight of the night was playing chubby bunny-what a good laugh for everyone!

I cannot believe my little girl is almost nine months old!  She is a beauty and complete joy in my life!

There are often hard “parenting” moments or life circumstances that bring us down.  I just have to look at this girl and I smile.  She seriously changes my mood.  What a complete gift!  She is such an easy baby.  I often refer to her as my “dream” baby.  She is a dream…a dream come true!  Not only is she an easy baby…she makes my heart so happy.  I love her like crazy.  I love all my kids so much, but she is the easiest right now.  I know that will probably change with time, but right now I am so thankful for her sweet presence in my life.  She is such an encouragement to me.  Thank you Reagan for being you!  On other note…she learned to crawl this week and its one of the sweetest looking crawls you have ever seen!
