the wild, WILD west…or at least the midwest

October 12, 2009 By Erica Deuel 2 Comments

It was SO good to see OJ and Cody and their life in Arkansas!!  I loved every minute of being there!!  Let me tell you they were an amazing host and hostess team!!!  We felt loved and served in every possible way!

Oj went to the store and got groceries, cooked for us, washed dishes by hand, cleaned her house, folded the toilet paper into a triangle, gave up her house-to sleep at her inlaws…saddled and unsaddled horses, did countless hours of prep for our benefit roping (that I can’t even begin to list out cause it was so much!)….and SO much more!!! Cody, organized all the livestock, took loads of it to the roping, saddled and unsaddled horses for us to ride, took us on rides, showed us his life, answered all our city people questions, invested hours into pulling off a rodeo for us (again I don’t even know or unstand all the work!!!), went and got the tractor-just so caleb could ride it, gave up his bed and some sleep…and so much more!!

We had so much fun riding horses, hanging with family, and getting a ‘taste’ of their life!!  This couple has my heart-I so so wish we could have stayed longer and definitely lived closer together…but it was a blast to have this weekend with them.  Love them dearly-and love-the love they display towards each other!  You two are awesome!!

p.s. we got to go to a horse auction….it was all i could do not to spend my birthday money buying my boys a pony!!!

Please check out my awesome brother-in-law working his skills…he is the “healer”…which means he ropes the feet 🙂

This looks like so much fun. Thanks for all the pics. I know you had a blast with OJ and Cody. I bet that will be one part of the trip Caleb will never forget. Miss you all so much. XOXOX Bebe
