My Wedding Review

October 2, 2012 By Erica Deuel Leave a Comment

I love weddings.  I love the joining of two lives to become one and the celebration and party that comes with it!  We were so honored to be such a part of last weekend’s family wedding.

We got to the wedding at Spring Lake Events, and the boys were literally so excited they could have walked down the aisle right then.  I had to hold these cuties back for about an hour and half.

They did not mind because the venue was so gorgeous and right out of a boy’s dream.  There were fields, a lake, and rocks.  What more could a kid want!?  My task was to keep them somewhat clean. 🙂  Hence, Reagan was NOT in her flower girl dress.

I let the boys run and release some of that energy!

How cute is that sign they ran too!?!

The running worked and wore them out a bit.  So, we gathered their goodies and got ready to go down the aisle.

I just LOVED how J held his pillow in every position but the literal way it is supposed to be held for a ring bearer.  Take note of this in the pictures 🙂

Those Tic-Tacs helped keep Reagan in the wagon.  They were like a puzzle for a while until she realized how she could dump them out and get more at a time out.

One thing I just love about having three young kids is the numerous amazing pictures we get.  Although it is rare to get all three smiling AND looking at the camera at the same time, there are so many amazing “other shots” gotten in attempts of  that ONE shot.  For example, I can’t decide which of the following three I like best.

They are so similar, but I like each one for a different reason.

Jennifer looked stunning!  One of my favorite pictures/moments is watching the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time.  Seth’s face was priceless!  Simply smitten with love and pride all over it.  They are going to be one amazing married couple.

The kids did an amazing job walking down the aisle!  They looked so cute and got lots of smiles.  I was so proud of them!  I keep watching the video of them going down the aisle and it makes me giggle every time!

I didn’t hear most of the ceremony because my kiddos were wanting to play musical chairs and were needing to be reminded “whisper”, “no talking”, and “here’s another piece of candy”.  Bribery. For me to still get teary eyed at the parts that I did catch, shows how beautiful the ceremony was!

At one point, I might have had to chase down this run-away flower girl.  She looked so stunning and innocent, I had to capture the moment!

The wedding party was gorgeous!  I loved the pink dresses Jennifer picked out, and the groomsmen even had on pink socks with their suits!  There were so many personal, unique things to this wedding that added to the overall special and beautiful feel it created.

My gorgeous little niece, Natalie, still doesn’t know what to do with her loud cousins.  Reagan loves to “pat” her.

Here are a few pictures of the gorgeous decor items that were made up by the venue and couple…

I loved all of it.  I am no professional photographer, but it was all so gorgeous I busted out my little point and shoot whenever I could.  I know so much work went into planning this wedding.

I adore Jennifer and had talks with her before she was even engaged about her wedding.  I am SO SO thankful this day came and it was so beautiful!  She dreamed about it for a long time and deserves the best!  All those little “ideas” and moments of hours and hours of work came together to create one incredible day.

She had personal drink buckets, TWO photo books used for guest books (you know those take FOREVER to make!), lots of cute signs, a photo booth with props, her initialed necklace for the reception…and so so much more.  It was gorgeous!

One of my favorite parts of the whole thing was watching these cousins interact.  They I(‘m pretty sure) adore each other in a sweet, innocent way.

Reagan giggles at anything Nolan does, and Nolan seems to always find Reagan.  Such sweet friends!

How gorgeous was their cake!?!  Ombre pink flowers!

We love you Seth and Jennifer and will be here for you always!  We believe in you both and wish you nothing but the best!  May God continue to richly bless you both!!

Thank you so much for checking out my wedding review!  I hope you are having a great week!

I’m a Proud Mom

October 1, 2012 By Erica Deuel 2 Comments

On Saturday, I kept staring at my kids and my heart literally wanted to jump out of my chest. These kids of mine are so cute and so very much fun! I can’t believe it is MY job to be with them all day everyday. I love it.

Being called “mom” by these three is my greatest joy in this life.

I have so many photos that I cant wait to share with you from this beautiful day!  You might have already seen a couple if you follow me on twitter or facebook.  I still have that post in the works for you, but for now I have a special treat for you!

My oh so talented husband shot the video for the wedding. He is still in the works of editing it, but he has so graciously accommodated my request at a few clips of our kids.

They are adorable!

Please enjoy this video! I can’t stop watching it!

Did you see my heart in that video?!  I think I saw it dancing on that dance floor…in the muscles lugging Reagan UP the aisle…and in the face saying “cheeeeeessseeeee”. 🙂

If you loved this video, please feel free to watch it numerous times!  Another short video of my kids that I just adore is from a year ago.  You can see it here on my birthday post.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing Monday!!

Here Comes The Bride

September 28, 2012 By Erica Deuel 3 Comments

It is Friday!!!  YESSSSSS!!  Ever since I started homeschooling, today has a new found love for me!  🙂

This week I have been busily crafting for a family wedding tomorrow!  You might remember hearing about Seth and Jennifer in my post about their wedding shower we threw for them.  Tomorrow is their big day, and we couldn’t be more excited!  Here (in picture view) are a few things I have been creating for this day.

After looking at those pictures, are you as excited as me about this wedding!?  It is going to be one beautiful outdoor wedding!  I will be sure to be back next week with some more pictures from this special day.  I think you will enjoy them too because my little girl will be holding this sweet basket…

Yes, she is the flower girl!  My mother in law is an incredible seamstress.  She made Reagan’s flower girl dress and it is so cute!  I have been always intimidated at sewing clothes, so I happily passed that project off on her.  After seeing her dress, I had to get my hands on sewing girl clothes.  She taught me, and I can’t wait to share both dresses with you next week!

I love personalized gifts.  They are my favorite.  I love to receive them, and I love to give them.  They are just so unique and show time and effort in trying to create something special.  This little sign is part of our wedding present to the sweet couple.

Oh yes!  my boys are in the wedding too!  They are the ring bearers!  I can already see them wearing their skinny gray jeans pulling Reagan down the aisle in an old wagon.  It will be interesting and hopefully beautiful.  My goal for this experience is no tears for anyone.  Including me.  🙂

Jennifer has pinned a lot of pretty wreaths.  I hope she likes this one.  Good thing she knows I am not good with surprises (if she is reading this post), because this wreath is for her!  It is the other part of her wedding present.  I hope she likes it.

You might remember getting a glimpse of this wreath by this picture…

…in my painting tips post.  I stuck it up on mantel, while playing with how to decorate it.  I loved it so much.  I really toyed with keeping it!  BUT, I decided I would just make another.  So, you know what is something on my craft list for next week.

Jennifer had the idea to put a little burlap sign on the back of the wagon and on one of the boys as they walked down the aisle.  Genius, right!?!  So, I made two of these.  I can’t wait to see them in action.

The last thing I made, were really “thing-s”.  Jennifer wanted a hair bow for her hair.  I had made one for my sister-in-law, Christina, that you might remember seeing here.  I had seen Christina’s dress in person, so I was able to make that one pretty easily.  I have only seen a picture of Jennifer’s dress.  Until I started making her bow, I didn’t know there were SO many shades of white!  Hello!?  White is not just white.  It scared me, so I made quite a few bows for her to choose from.  She can have which ever one she wants, and I will put the rest for sale in my store, Dancing Zebras.

Thank you so much for checking out my Friday Project(s) Spotlight!  Have you been crafting lately?  Made anything fun?  I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
