The Tribe is Here!

December 23, 2013 By Erica Deuel 1 Comment

Crafts_deliveredHave you ever wanted to attempt a craft from Spoonful of Imagination but needed a little extra nudge?

Have you seen promotions for Spoonful Lab but have been too far away to attend?

Are you looking for a community of people to encourage and challenge your creative potential?

I’m excited to let you know we have created a solution for you.

Hoop_artWhat is the Spoonful Tribe?

Spoonful Tribe is a monthly membership that directly engages with you to unleash more of your creative potential. What I have found is that most people don’t believe they are creative – until they have the opportunity to actually create. At my live Spoonful Labs, I’ve seen people’s imaginations come alive once they were in a room with craft supplies and people cheering them on. If we could all gather in a room once a month to craft together, that would be amazing. According to my husband that idea isn’t too practical. So until I can convince him otherwise, I want to deliver crafts right to your door!

Along with the craft supplies, we are including a tutorial video for each craft, and a members only forum for more interaction and ideas. As the Tribe grows, we will introduce even more ways to connect and craft together! I am so excited! Are you ready to join us?

Here’s the big catch… Because I’m not a huge retail store, I can only stock enough supplies for a limited amount of boxes. As the membership grows, I will add more supplies. However, every month will have a limit and once I’m sold out, you will have to wait until the next month to join in on the fun. Don’t delay. Reserve your spot in the Tribe and Craft Box today!

We’ve worked hard to give you some membership options that best meet your needs. Signing up for The Whole Serving Spoon is just that, absolutely everything! This package is loaded with tons of perks including bonus supplies for your monthly craft and a handmade gift from Erica. The Tablespoon gets you all the supplies and plenty of perks. Every now and then when the craft requires something like a hot glue gun we will give you an option to buy it or you can provide your own. Finally, with the Teaspoon you can still get in on the fun of the membership, it will be up to you to pick up your own monthly supplies.

DIY_embroidery_hoop

For January’s Tribe members we will be creating embroidery hoops, yarn pom poms, and decorative clothes pins. I think the craft kit would make an excellent gift or what you make with it would too! You can always keep your creation as well. I hung two of my hoops up in my living room, and I love the addition they make to our growing wall collage.

living room wall artIf you have been following along with my Spoonful Labs, and you want to host your own! I’d love to help make that possible. We can package multiple Tribe Boxes so that all you need to do is put out some snacks and invite your friends for a memorable evening! You can order up to 3 Tribe Boxes through the membership options above. If you want more or would like to customize your party in a special way, just send us an email and we’ll go from there!

What are you waiting for? Let’s start getting creative.

*All memberships will be confirmed upon receipt and access to the Tribe Forum will arrive in your email within 48 hours. Craft Boxes will ship out by the 20th of each month. Crafts for the following month will be announced by the 21st.

Imagine

November 10, 2013 By Erica Deuel 1 Comment

imagineDo you have a word that is kind of your life mantra? If I had to pick one word that I am continually challenged, encouraged, and inspired by it would be “imagine”. So many things come to my mind when I think of this word. I like to picture a world different than we all know. Here are some of the thoughts that challenge me as I imagine…

Imagine a world where we really live out loving our neighbors.

Imagine if we were patient with our kids as we so desperately try to instill patience in them.

Imagine if we all believe we are masterpieces that God created.

Imagine if we all really lived in the belief that we have something to offer.

Imagine if we all believed to our core that we are accepted like we were created.

Imagine if we put our phone down and picked our kids up more.

Imagine if we used our gifts and talents for good.

Imagine if we cared for the widows and orphans.

Imagine if we gave our time away to help and be there for others.

Imagine if we truly lived like we had no tomorrow.

Imagine if we stopped moving and talking long enough to listen.

Imagine if we decided to live a purposeful life rather than watching it pass us by.

Imagine if we truly loved one another.

getting_a_tattooImagine the possibilities.

The beauty of these thoughts is that we don’t just have to imagine them. We can act. We all have a part to play.

This world can be changed. Let us walk in that belief. Let us face this week knowing that there is no one else like us and we have something to offer the world and those close to us. We all have a part and together we can imagine and act in creating a greater tomorrow.

getting a tattooI often lose perspective and get lost in my selfishness. I need reminding to step outside of myself and imagine a bigger and much better story – a world that can be changed by simple daily steps. I hope and pray as we start a new week you will join me in imagining and being a part of creating a more beautiful tomorrow.

Dream Big

October 27, 2013 By Erica Deuel 1 Comment

Yesterday, was my Spoonful Lab – Roswell, GA. It was so much fun. I keep smiling when I think about the night. The girls that attended blew me away with their creativity. They were so fun.

We ate, laughed, crafted, and even got our jam on a bit. It was fun. Not in a million years would I think I could start pursuing my dreams, while still having young kids at home. I am so thankful for my supportive husband, the group of girls that trusted me with their night last night, for friends and family that have urged me along, and for all of you. Thank you! I have more details coming about our night, but I just wanted to say a quick thank you before the weekend left us.

Pretty & Inspiring Print (download for $5.00)

Also, I wanted to share a print with all of you. Those that attended my lab last night received this original print by me in their swag bag. If you too would like to get your hands on one as a simple inspiring print to place in your home, you can! I now have a 5×7 downloadable print for sale in my store. I will be adding more to this store this week, but for now you can purchase the print here!

Thanks so much again, and I will be back soon!

New Seats Available for Saturday’s Spoonful Lab

October 21, 2013 By Erica Deuel 2 Comments

I can’t believe this is the week of my first “official” Spoonful Lab in Roswell, GA. I am busily doing last minute prep. What I am thrilled to realize is that I am loving all of it. I have not been stressed, and I can’t wait to craft with some of you soon! Thank you to those that have signed up and taken a chance with me for my lab THIS Saturday. I know for the first event that may feel like a risky thing. I really appreciate you trusting me. I am excited to be me, craft with you, and create a night that you will be able to unwind and have some fun while creating.

After getting everything ready I’ve decided to open up a few more seats. There are four tickets left to be exact. If you live in the Atlanta area I would love to hang with you this coming weekend! Please view my event page for more details.

Last weekend, I got the chance to go back to Athens and craft with my sister, Joni, and her college roommates for their Spoonful Lab. They have been my like my pilot program and the first time was such a blast that we decided to try to make these happen on a more official and regular basis. This past weekend I took my sign supplies and got to teach a few of my painting techniques to the girls.

I love this relaxed atmosphere. We just craft, chat, and snack. It’s a special day trip with my little Reagan as well. She knows its our time to go to college, and she loves it. She puts on a good show by being her cute self, participates a little, eats way too much sugar, and then crashes for a movie every time.

painting_with_friends

craft_snackingIt’s so fun getting to know these sweet girls. They are awesome, and I couldn’t be more thankful my sister has such a great group around her. One thing that I am loving about our time together is learning about each girl. What they like, what creative things appeal to them from colors to clothes. I love watching them brainstorm and seeing the path of discovery as they go from an idea to an actual finished product and helping them get there with something they are proud of.

One thing that was cool this past week was helping some girls spray paint for the first time.

painting_signsI left and they were talking about making signs for Christmas presents, and I have already received pictures of new signs they have constructed. So cool.

Inspiring these girls and helping them see that they can create is such a joy.

hand_painted_signsI love the energy that comes from creating together. It’s so fun and empowering. Grab a friend and come out and join us this Saturday night! Registration will close Thursday night at 11:59pm… don’t miss out!

girls_craft_nightThank you so much for checking in! If you would like, I would love if you helped spread the word about these four remaining seats. Please feel free to post the above picture on your interwebs. Thank you so much!
