J can stand!!!

April 28, 2010 By Erica Deuel 5 Comments

First off, sorry to all my Monday Craft followers!!  Ha ha I kept thinking about putting up pics of us creating our garden and planting stuff in it-but I slacked off in stead!  Please forgive me 🙂

Now on to some exciting news!!!!

The boys had been in bed for about 20 minutes when I heard J squealing with delight and clapping!  I go in there to check on him and this is what I found….

J was standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I teared up!!!  Do you see the complete joy on his face!?!?!  This is the first time EVER he has done this, and he is so so proud of himself!!!   He pulls himself to his knees all the time, but this is really the first time he has made it to his feet all on his own.  It makes me realize all those moments where I have thought “he is physically frustrated”-he really was….cause he is so so excited here!!  I am so proud of my little guy and am praising God for this milestone!  Ha ha This happened even before physical therapy began!  God is so good!

I teared up too, then shared it with our whole small group to celebrate! I’m so happy for J-man. He’ll be running in no time 🙂
