Last week Caleb had what we thought was a cold. On Sunday, Jeremiah seemed to be coming down with one as well. J's cough got worse and worse to the point on Wednesday he was having trouble to breath. We took him to the doctor and found out he had RSV (bronchialitis). Caleb probably has RSV too, but since he is older his body can handle it better than J. Its like a cold gone bad-tons and tons of mucus and coughing! We got sent straight to Scottish Rite from our doctor's visit-and have been Continue Reading
Anthem is here!!
January 20, 2009-what an amazing day!! This was a huge day for lots of reasons! One, it was the inauguration of our first African American president that we are totally pumped about! Second, Jeremiah rolled over from his stomach to his back during 'tummy time' for the first time! Third, and the reason for this post, ANTHEM was released!! YEA!!! We have been so excited to share this film with all those we love...and those we don't even know! We feel like God is going to use it to change Continue Reading
HAWK! (with emphasis on the ‘ha’ part) as Caleb would say
This past Monday, we went to the Hawks game. It was a complete blast!! It was Jeremiah's second game (before two months old), but it was Caleb's first game! He LOVED it!! I think he was a little overwhelmed at first. He didn't know where to look...the people, lights, game, etc. I think he settled on pointing out every hawk around the building! Mike hooked us up with the tickets...and Caleb with a basketball. Caleb is still proudly showing us the hawk on his new ball. We ran into my Continue Reading
Christmas was a blast!
We had an awesome Christmas! It was so fun hanging out with family and friends!! Caleb is at such a fun stage, and he was a complete blast this holiday season! Anytime we drove by Christmas lights there was a chorus of oooo's and aaaww's from the backseat. It was such a reminder to appreciate the simple, little things in life. We painted ornaments and made dough ornaments...which Caleb tried to eat! :) We gave Caleb a red wagon for Christmas-and I think he would have sat in it all day! Continue Reading
Sushi from home!!
One night last week I got the bright idea of trying to make sushi. My friend, Esther, makes it, so I wanted to give it a try. Matt and I put the boys to bed and then we had a date at home! For those of you with kids...that's the way to have a date without worrying about a baby-sitter! :) Just put the kids to bed. The rice took about two hours...and I was STARVING by the time it was done, but we had the best time making our rolls and eating them! P.s. Matt's might have looked better (his Continue Reading
