DIY Bookends (what you can make for being a hoarder)

September 26, 2015 By Erica Deuel Leave a Comment

Surely I'm not a hoarder, right!? There are things that are easy to throw out. Toys the dogs have chewed on, stained socks with holes, and junk mail... no sweat! But when it comes to craft supplies and crafting leftovers, you better watch out! I had cut some boards for another project, but I looked down on the floor and saw that my scraps were actually some really cute block type pieces of wood. I had to save and use them for something. It was a must. Well, lucky for all of us that I did, Continue Reading

Colorful Fall Front Porch

September 17, 2015 By Erica Deuel 5 Comments

Disclaimer: The paint I received for free. Thank you Modern Masters for so generously gifting it to me. All opinions are very much my own. Fall is here. With the new season comes change, fresh starts, and lots of color. As much as I love the simplicity and beauty in white, clean, and simple, my heart goes pitter-patter for color. It always has. It should be no surprise then that fall is my favorite season. The change of weather, the colorful layers of clothing, and the brilliant leaves Continue Reading

DIY Inexpensive Fur Stool

August 29, 2015 By Erica Deuel Leave a Comment

What do you think about the fur craze? Do you love it? For me, I like having a few pieces. I don't want to over do it and look like a hunter's cabin but a few pieces are fun! I love the neutral color with texture paired with something colorful. The love of that look gave me an idea a little while ago. I have been searching for the perfect, old, small step stool for a while to use on this project. When I found this little one for $3.oo, I knew I was ready to try my idea. The first thing Continue Reading

DIY Wood Shelves

June 23, 2015 By Erica Deuel 2 Comments

For months my boys have slowly been adding things to their dressers. It started as one small card or lego creation to a full on craze. In their eyes, it is the most beautiful mess. Do you see the beauty as well or do your mom nerves (like mine) kind of cringe too at those pictures? You can see what the chartreuse dresser first looked like here and my son's red dresser/chalkboard wall here. They have reached this age that when I ask them to pick up their room and toys there are things they Continue Reading

DIY Outdoor Table

June 7, 2015 By Erica Deuel 3 Comments

We have been eating outside more than inside most days thanks to my amazing husband. When the snow melted, we started playing outside for hours a day. It was hard to finish our homeschool year with the days becoming so outstanding. We did finish our school year though this past Friday, and we are thrilled summer is here! Once we started playing outside so much, we started dreaming of an outdoor table. We searched and scoured the internet on what would be the best deal and table for us. Continue Reading
